My four year old got her immunizations two days ago.....?

and now on her arm there is a big red spot about the size of the palm of my hand. It's hot and feels like it's swollen. She says it doesn't hurt and she doesn't seem to feel bad.
I have called the doctor but haven't heard from them yet. Anyone have any ideas?

Answers:
It could mean she has had a "local" allergic re-action to the immunization/immunization's.

I would use a cold compress on the area, and give her some Tylenol if she starts to run a fever, and be sure to follow up with her pediatrician.
Sounds like she needs to go back to the dr. That shouldn't be normal. Make sure you talk to someone today so you don't end up in the ER over the weekend.
