My kid (16 months) just climed out of his bed. What can I do to prevent this?
Any creative idea's that could help us out?
Answers:
You may find putting him into a 'big boy bed' will stop him getting up as climbing out of a crib is an adventure, not so fun when u can just get out. My daughter was 15 months and went into a bed fine, never got out, never fell out either.
Good luck

unfortunely u can't..u can shut the door..don't recommended it..and tying him up was a BAD idea...look to see where he takes a nap...some kids like to sleep in a paticular place. My kids slept on the sofa...and that's where they stayed. U can get a pop up tent and say its his own special place like his big boy place. He might think it's cool and could be comforting to him. So try the tent issue..but other then that..they will get up and continue to tell they finally get the idea. Just make sure cupboards are locked and doors are shut and locked. Just childproof ur home. That's what we did with our daughter when she went through her phase.
Make everything possible to get dangeorus objects out of the room so he won`t get hurt when he gets out of the bed you cant keep him in now that hes figured out how to get out, i promise! its time for a low toddlers bed.
i'd tell you to make sure that you make sure that there are no dangerous items lying around from his reach. he is at time of his life where he is becoming adventurous as well as restless. I'd recommend he sleeps on a matress in a room where there is carpeting becuase whatever you do he will try to get out and seeing you frustrated only adds the curiosity. Wait and see when he starts falling off beds when he is a little bigger. good Luck and enjoy this special moment in your kids life. beleive me you will be surprised how time flies.
they will do even more than that . Get reaty for some wirt stunds it will make . Get the Baby Proff Book the are good tips in itHave you got a 16mth old in a cot?? I think maybe you should buy a copy of Super Nanny's book and a toddler bed for your child.

had a 9mth old who used to climb out of the cot with the dropside up..bye bye cot..hello bed. Best idea I can give you is take him out of the crib completely and put him in a toddler bed. If he is climbing already, it won't stop, and he may hurt himself.
they have something that goes over the crib like a tent but see through and netty with wholes all in it , but when my boys did this we took the crib away and put them in a big boys bed, unfortunatly my last child 2 yr is usualy sleeping in my bed were still working on him, but ya get rid of the crib before he gets hurt
He climbed out of a bed or a crib? If he climbed out from a crib, you need to change to a bed. Either put a mattress on the floor or use a twin bed with a rail for safety.get a toddler bed. make a big too do out of getting a big kids bed. Then put up gates so he can't hurt himself if he gets up. Keep ur ears open.... good luck u got a real fisty one here.

Been there! They do make tent-like screens you can put over the crib, keeps cats and bugs out of the crib, and keeps the kid in.
But at 16-months, it's time for the toddler bed.
time for a young child's bed...and another set of eyes,ears...
