That's up to you really. I'd say that if it's only to put her babies in that's okay, but if you find her sleeping in it, it does defeat the purpose of having the twin bed. Another option is to take her to a toy store and buy her a doll bed. Have her pick out a new blankie for them (fabric remnant, or even recieving blankets work well). They're usually pretty cheap, it'll save space in her room, and it's something she can play with anytime, so it's not a wasted investment.
it will be alright, but get a bed rail. mine kept falling off when she started.
