my daughter of 3years still rejects her bed and crawls into mine everynight. what can be done?
Answers:
my son had that same problem, and here's what we did.
start off the night by putting her in her own bed, if she gets up, keep putting her back in there. if she comes in your room during the night, tell her she has to get her pillow and blanket, and lay on the floor next to your bed. Explain she's too old and big to sleep in your bed, and if she's scared or doesn't want her bed, then she's welcome to lay on the floor next to your bed.
it took several days, but my son finally realized, he prefered his own bed, to my floor!
good luck
Start using HER bed.
As soon as she falls asleep, go back to your bed.
Or...
Maybe you could place her in her own bed and stay in the room until she falls asleep.
Try leaving a night-light on also helps.
Maybe you can...
Make her bed REALLY comfortable with lots of teddy bears, warm blankets, fluffy pillows, etc. and tell her that the teddy bears are afraid too. But that they LIKE her room better than yours, but are afraid to be alone and that they feel better when she is in the room.
lolol my 5 yo still sleeps with us i told her when she stars going to kinder garden she has to sleep in her own bed because shes a big girl now and she said she was fine with it she starts school in 1 week we'll see what happens
