My 18 mo old has been going to a babysitter for a year and she used to love it but now she hates it!?

Our babysitter has other kids and my baby used to love to play with them and never wanted to leave when I picked her up after I got off work. But now she screams and throws a fit when I drop her off. And when I pick her up, she runs straight to me and if anyone else tries to touch her, including the babysitter, she screams like she is afraid. And today, I found a big scratch on her back and 2 small ones on her belly and face. I dont want to make any accusations but I am a little suspicious. The sitter said it was from their dog but it doesnt look like a dog scratch to me. I dont know what to do. I cannot find another sitter that I can afford.

It sounds like you think she may be being mistreated at the baby sitter's house. If I were you, I would stop sending her there if I even had a suspicion. Kids get scratches all of the time, that is not what bothers me about this, it is the fact that she went from loving to go there to being scared of being there. I would try to find alternative child care. At least then you will know if it is separation anxiety or that particular sitter.
