2 Year Old with quirky habit?

My daughter is 2 but even since the day she was born she has had this habit of lifting her legs up and down and tensing them for minutes at a time. I thought she had colic but health visitor said it wasnt and she would grow out of it. It doesnt bother her and she carries on as normal. I then thought she did it when she was tired and I thought it was like a comfort thing for her but I just don't know.
Does anyone have a baby who does anything similar.

Answers:
If she had colic "you'd know, lol" she'd be crying and fidgeting. She's just doing a little "rote" item that makes her feel comfortable. Even at that age, they practice things over and over to "feel good." This is why they repeat certain vowel sounds like "da, da" and "ma, ma" because with practice comes perfection. Also, with the more vowel sounds they can make, the better their language skills are, same for their "motor skills" which is what she is excercising.

However, if she starts to have "problems" with this while sleeping, she could have a sign of RLS or "restless leg syndrom" which many people suffer from. Signs include tingling legs, feeling something crawling on them when theres nothing there and a knot in them that isn't there, all requiring you STRETCH your legs, often waking you up in the night. However, I have no idea about this in Infants, sorry.

As I said, most likely she is just "exercising" and enjoying the stretching. Good luck!
maybe she's excercising do you have the tv on alot she might be imitating something she sees often.
