Another question about my son's skin?

My 3 year old son has what looks like pimples on his chin. They came up about a week ago and are still there. His skin is normally dry anyway so this is just irritating it. I've tried just putting lotion on it to see if it would clear up and that hasn't worked. Any ideas about what it may be and how I can get rid of it?

Answers:
It kind of sounds like prickly heat and my daughter had a similiar case of "pimples" and my doctor recommended using Aveeno baby bath products to help clear this up. It's very mild and safe to use on baby everyday. Hope this helps.

My 3 yr old daughter had it as well, i applied an antibiotic cream like fuicidin for few days and it cleared up, but took a while.

you need to go to the doctors to have them removed with a medication If they really look like pimples not a red inflamed rash they could be just that. My daughter started getting pimples when she was about 6. If he has redness or a rash around his chin or face he should see a dermatologist to make sure he doesn't have thrush or a kind of eczema but if they are the old white head type pimples try just a little sea breeze type astringent and see if they go away.

Could be milk causing it....my little boy always gets them when he's been drinking milk out of a cup and falls asleep before i can wipe his face. Also, teething seemed to do it to him (think it may have been the dribble). Lotion seemed to make it worse, just water cleared it up!

babies are so gross ! they are like germ carries ! ewe ! get them away !!!!!!!!11

I would try a mild face soap for him to see if it clears it up. also my oldest son is your age and he has dry skin, it seemed to be a constant fight till a few months ago i ran across a post on here that said to try aveeno oatmeal bath. It worked well i just had to rince the tub right after... i also bought aveeno daily moisturizing lotion, i put it on him every day and his skin is getting really soft :) This sounds like dry skin. What has worked best for me is Eucerin cream (the heavy duty stuff in the tub) or Aquaphor (which is like Vaseline). If you keep the area moist it should help. But, of course your doctor should be consulted if the situation worsens.
