help with a 8 year old girl?

i have a 8 year old girl and when she gets me mad i will yell at her and tell her to go to her room but she will fall to the floor and scream, she screams dont heat me as loud as she can. i dont know why she does that i dont spank her and if i do its because she realy needs it. what can i do to stop her before some one hears her and i get in trouble for something i dont do?

Answers:
When she has these fits, just walk into the other room. Ignore her, this always works on my daughter who is 6. I have also threatened to call her little friend over to come see her throw a fit. This works fastest than walking away most of the time.

Each child is different and what works for one parent, doesn't always work for another.

How about stopping modelling the behavior for her. You hit and yell at her. What do you expect her to do? You are TEACHING her these behaviors.
