I have a huge problem with milk at night? HELP!!!?

Here's what happened...About a month and a half ago my son's molars came in (he's 17 mnths). He had 103 temp 3 nights in a row. He ended up in the emergency room. I gave him milk in a sippy cup to soothe him and calm him down. I was seriously concerned.
Now that he is better he is still waking up for milk. If he does not get it he cries like a crazy baby being tortured. It got to the point that I just let him cry until he wore himself out. The 1st night it lasted for 45 min, the 2nd night 35, and the 3rd night...after 35 min the police came to my door and said that there were numerous complaints, even from 2 apartments over.
We were questioned and it was horrible because that day he actually fell on his forehead and had a huge scrape and bruise.
After the initial shock that my baby's crying was really annoying everyone I knew that I was just doing the right because he slept through 2 nights.
But now he's back up again screaming for it. What do I do?

Answers:
Tell all the neighbours & the Police included to go f*&% themselves instead of giving you parents more stress. Whats up with these people, its just a child crying for God's sake!!! The piece of shitty Policemen should really tell the complainaint to go get a life......As for your little situation here, go with abit of logic & a whole lotta luvvvv.....alittle milk wont hurt; of course lessen it over the nex few days or so and give water.
deal with it.

He will learn.
give him a pacifier
