This site will help with both.
i babysit weekly for the same 6-yr old girl. she gets up and i make her breakfast. we watch one cartoon on tv and then play a game of hide-and-seek or house. we usually go for a walk around the block or to the park for about an hour. by that time it is almost lunch. i make her lunch and turn the tv off. then almost everyday we do a board game or puzzle. she can spend hours playing "guess who?" or "hungry hungry hippos". by this time, it almost 4:00 and she is getting picked up by her mom. although, your are a 2 yr old and a 4 month old, you can still do a lot of these activities. play games with the two year old and have the 4 month old sit by you to watch while you also play with him/her with a toy.
i guess that really isn't a routine but just a few ideas.
hope this helps!
this is great i have a 2 year old and a 4 month old,, when my 2 yr old wakes i make him bf straight away then put cartoons on he sits quietly for about and hour or more, while he is doing so i get my 4 month old in the bath feed him and he goes back to bed,,,, now ever ones children are different but you can try, then i get my 2 yr old in the bath dress him, and send him off outside while i do the washing or something outside, they love outside always wears him out, then come in clean him room and everything else, make him help get him to sweep the floor maybe even vacuum they love it. then its lunch time, the little one wakes i feed everyone and we watch a movie or i take them both outside for some sun and a play. the day flys past after that...bub will want to go back to bed in no time, then i ask my 2yr old to play in his room while mummy gets num nums (dinner) lol..... then we eat and bath everyone again and its off to bed.... make sure your 2 yr old always eats lots for a whole night sleep. and the 4 month while gee i still haven't figured out a patten for him... i did but its gone they don't last.. lol
good luck..........
I have been a nanny for 7 years so here goes.
Wake up at like 7 or 8am. She might want to get dressed first or eat breakfast first. It really depends on if she's wide awake and ready to go or a little sleepy in the morning. But I would try and be consistent. I would probably give her breakfast and some milk in a sippy cup.
Then after that take her to get dressed and brush her hair and teeth in the bathroom.
After that you should have an activity to do - like going for a walk or going to the library or something fun.
Or you can let her play on her own for a while if she is okay with that while you take care of the baby. (The baby will probably still take a morning nap so that would be a good time to spend some quality time with the 2/old.) I would definitely find something fun to do though in the morning. She might need a morning snack, or she might not - depending on how early she eats breakfast and how late she eats lunch.
At lunch time she should have lunch, with some juice maybe or water. Then after lunch you can do something quiet, like read books for a little bit.
Then its nap time, in her own crib - hopefully! If you can get both kids to nap at the same time that would be awesome.
Then after nap time, she should have a snack, and you can let her play outside, or watch a video or something.
She should have dinner and then play quietly or do some activities with you and the baby.
Then beddy bye time.

ITS NOT EASY BUT OUR ROUTINE STARTS OUT AS FOLLOWS, MY 2YR OLD GETS UP AND GOES ON THE POTTY, WE SING A POTTY SONG WHETHER SHE WENT OR NOT, TIME FOR THE GIRLS TO GET DRESSED, WE MAKE OUR WAY TO THE T.V. WHERE SHE WATCHES HER LEAP FROG LETTER FACTORY MOVIE (I MAKE HER BREAKFAST), TIME TO EAT, WE THEN READ A BOOK OR 2 DEPENDING ON HER MOOD, AFTER READING TIME SHE GETS 30MIN. OR SO TO PLAY W/ WHATEVER SHE CHOOSES,LUNCH TIME, AFTER LUNCH I TRY TO GET HER DOWN FOR A NAP. DOESN'T ALWAYS HAPPEN. TIME FOR LETTERS/NUMBERS. I HAVE FLASH CARDS THAT WE LIKE TO USE . SNACK TIME,NEXT MY FAVORITE TIME OF DAY ,ART TIME!!! WE DRAW, COLOR, FINGER PAINT, ETC. WE USUALLY SING A SONG OR JUST PLAIN HAVE FUN WHILE THE BABY HAS TUMMY TIME. THE REST OF THE DAY CONSIST OF T.V. , QUIET PLAY OR JUST LAYING AROUND THE HOUSE, AND DINNER OF COURSE.
