my boys 3 in a month usualy happy as can be but when he gets mad or something pisses him off he starts to?
Answers:
my son went through the same thing at 2yrs of age...he would bang his head on the floor or walls whenever i would tell him no or that he couldnt do something...it totally freaked me out. At first i would make a big deal out of it and tell him to stop but he kept going...eventually i realised that the only reason he did this was for attention so i began to ignore him. sometimes he would hurt himself not badly just enough to get my attention but generally it would be to try and get a reaction from me. ignoring him completely worked as within one week he no longer hit his head because i wasnt giving him the attention he wanted. I also sometimes tried to distract him before hand if i knew he was going to bang his head, you can usually tell when they are going to do this so i would offer him a toy or try and get him to do something helpful for me..i hope this helps you...good luck
This kind of thing is usually a problem. Kids go to therapy for it. For his own good, I think you should tell the doctor. He/She knows best.
