A child's imagination... Any stories to share?

My son had an imaginary friend at the age of 2 and is constantly coming up with something new. One week Baby Bird (my 3 year old's alter-ego) wanted to go trick-or-treating. So he dressed up as Superman in his orange blanket and went to different doors (couch pillows). He rang the doorbell, made sounds for the door opening, said trick-or-treat, got candy in his imaginary bag, and headed for the next door. Half way through he changed his costume to a lion, meaning that the blanket now went over his head. This may not seem all that odd, but this happened in the middle of January.

Anyone else have funny imaginative kid stories to share?

Answers:
My daughter has had an imaginary friend since she was 1 and a half she is now 5 and a half. Still has her friend too. His name is MAXX. She takes him everywhere. She says he can fit in her hand. The other day she was in the living room teaching MAXX how to dance

It's the cutest thing isn't it??? I think so. She is always playing king and queen with him. She takes a blanket rapps it around her like it is a cape. And they play for hours. Sometimes when we are shopping, people thinks she is crazy. She'll tell me i gotta get MAXX something to eat, and people look at me like where is MAXX.

She took him to the movies the other day, MAXX sat on her head so he could see.

OOOOHHH to be a kid again.

My son is only 12 months old, so we're not there yet.

But I just want to say that a healthy imagination is a sign of intelligence. And also because your son is imaginative, it won't be long until he starts lying. Lying is also a sign of intelligence, just don't let it get bad of course.

My almost 3 year old has a very vivid imagination. One day she will be playing on my bed and it is a lake and the pillows are rocks, the next day my bed is a tent and there are bears on the floor. She will pretend to carry a baby and even feed, dress and change her imaginary baby. She talks and sings to her self and had imaginary friends since right before she turned 2.
It is a lot of fun!

That's perfectly normal... really it is:)
My 6 year old hasn't been himself for most of his life. He's too bust being, well at the moment, it's star wars characters, but previously it was bob the builder and all those characters! your son is proving to you that he is imaginative, intelligent, and has a good memory. My son has always done "Christmas"things all year round. He often pretends it's his birthday. The first time, he was about 2 and it was no where near anyone's birthday! The last time, recently, he went to a friends house. It wasonly a few weeks ago but they had a birthday party. (Their birthdays are in January and September!)
I think it's funny when kids do makebelieve things but it's great. You know you're bringing them up well when they do those things!
