why is my 3 yr old girl always hungry!!!?

my daughter is always hungry, she has two weet-bix with milk for brekky and after that she is always hungry i feed her up on yoghurt, fruit, and multi grain biscuits and she seems to be hungry ALL the time any ideas why? is it just a growth spurt?

Answers:
Kids that age are little balls of energy that keep rolling around. They gotta get their energy from somewhere, right? Let them eat plenty, but make sure it's healthy food.

Sounds like a growth spurt to me.
give her what she wants, she may need protien that stays with you better than carbs and fruit
She may have a tapeworm(s), round worm(s), fluke(s), take her to ur local doctor and check it out.
if your worried about it i would suggest talking to your pediatrician for advice they would be knowledgeable but my kids eat a lot and then when its hot outside again in the summer they slow down they do this also right after a growth spurt she may be growing
ok first of all, be a PARENT/MOTHER/ADULT.... unless you want your kid to have a horrible childhood where she gets made fun of constanly for being a fatty and than grow up to have a social disability, you need to learn to not give in to your kids demands... and by the way, did you just refer to breakfast as "brekky"? please, dont be those moms that say shes a growing baby... your kid is a glutton... she doesnt know whats good or bad for her... YOU DO... she knows food tastes good so she wants more...
LOL Welcome to motherhood hahaha it is a growth spurt.

could try pasta of anykind maybe no meat!! or hard stuff like that
unless you think she can handle that
shes a little girl ther always hungry
FOOD IS THE FUEL FOR THE BODY. AT THREE SHE IS BURNING ALL HER RESERVES AND NEEDS MORE. SHE WILL NOT EAT MORE THAN SHE NEEDS UNLESS SHE HAS A POOR ROLE MODEL. SOMONE WHO EATS ALL THE TIME AND DOES NOTHING WOULD BE A POOR ROLE MODEL.
shes young an energetic. jus let er eat but make sure she dont put on weight. chances are she burns off al the food anyway with the mischief she gets up to. other option is put her on a balanced diet and jus giv her fruit to boost her energy if she really wont stop moanin for food. let her know tht sh eats at meal times and if she dont finish her meals then she dont get anythin els to eat
It does sound like a growth spurt, but I also think she could use some more protein, otherwise sounds like she has a healthy diet. Fruit, yougurt and biscuits are more like snack type foods though and for a 3 yr old girl she needs 3 full meals and at least 2-3 snacks a day. Try having tuna sandwiches and apple slices for lunch, oatmeal and sausage for breakfast (MorningStar makes great veggie sausage if you are concerned with the fat) and fish or chicken for dinner, also try giving larger portions. Besides that you are doing great! Be thankful you have a girl, I have 2 boys and growth spurts suck, my 6 year old will eat nonstop if I allow him.
toddlers are on the go constantly and their metabolism is twice as fast as adults. i wouldn't worry too much about this as long as she is healthy and active. It sounds like you're feeding her healthy foods which is a major plus.

i have 3 girls ages 4,5, and 7. they all eat 3 good meals a day and at least 2 snacks-i will allow them small things to munch on in between the snacks and meals as long as it's healthy. all 3 are quite active so they burn off most of what they eat during the day.

like i said before the most important things to remember are to make sure she's active and you're not feeding her potato chips and pizza and i'm sure she'll be just fine
she's prolly just going thru a growth spurt
She is growing ..... Kids eat you out of house and home on growth spirts..... I have three boys all on a growth spirt at the same time ........ we can not keep enough food in the house and it seems like the 3 year old is eating the most some days.
It is possible she is always hungry because she needs a more balanced diet. You are feeding her alot of grain products, and sweet fruit and dairy. I would recommend more protein and fat. Don't be afraid of fat, a growing brain needs it. Can she eat peanut butter? Peanut butter on apple slices is a great snack. If you are vegetarian, add more nuts and seeds to her diet. Can you get Ezekial bread where you live? It is a higher protein bread, sprouted grain, very nutritious. Also, vegetables are very important, offer her a good variety. Fruit is healthy, but you need vegetables as well. Try a more varied, balanced diet. Also remember, a child will only eat what they need. If you are only offering good quality nutritious food, you won't have to worry about her gaining too much weight.

Good luck and God bless!
I would call your doctor and ask about the possibility of some kind of worm, but some kids just burn a lot of energy and eat more. Is she overweight or chubby? My son is skin and bones, but eats almost constantly! He takes after his father who is all of 110 lbs and 6'2" but could eat a whole pan of chili in one sitting. It is possible a growth spurt, and as long as she isn't overweight, is active, eating healthy, and you rule out something like worms, don't worry and let her eat. She's only three, you dont want an eating disorder by 5 because you freak out.

My son eats all the time, but only is less than 30lbs still.
Give her some meat, poor kid. :(
its probably just a growth spurt. I have two and my first was always hungry all the time until about 3 months ago and now rarely wants to eat. Now my daughter is the one who is always hungry. I think they just go through phases.. good luck
toddlers are naturally grazers, so they eat small amounts all day. they have tiny tummies that get full easily and then, cos it was a small amount that filled it, are hungry shortly afterwards. let her graze on healthy things during the day so she might have 6 small meals rather then 3 bigger ones. its fine and as long as shes not eating huge amounts of unhealthy food all day shell be fine and wont balloon like those kids on maury povich...
