I am getting ready to start potty training my son, which potty is the best (there are too many to choose from)

Actually for my daughter it was easiest to use the "real potty" the same one you use!! A friend of my mothers bought her an Elmo goes potty and since that present she has wanted to pee and poop in anything that resembles Elmo's potty. Bad deal!!! So I would introduce he to the regular potty with a step stool.
the one you use ,the other ones don't work, get him a box to put in front that won't slide, that he can stand on,a small hand rail to grab onto when he turns around. You'll take those down when he gets taller
