3 year old potty trained?
Answers:
My son is also completely potty trained except for at night. According to one of the other answers leaving the pull up off will "allow him to feel wet"...but this isn't true. After waking up to change one morning I explained that he should've gotten up and gone potty, and with a very confused face he says, "But Mommy, I did". Kids dream they're on the potty. It's harder for boys because they pee straight out, unlike girls who feel it as soon as they start. Also, girls have kegel muscles that also make it easier to train them, boys just take a little more patience. I say don't stress him out about it.
If you'd like, you can stop giving him liquids about 2 hours before bedtime (I say two and not one because it gives time for his bladder to completely empty). This has worked with my son, UNTIL schedules get hectic, dinner is later, and then he's wondering why he couldn't have milk with his dinner. It's beyond his control, and he felt punished, so I stopped doing that.
A pull up at night really isn't a problem. You can remember having the "on the toilet dream" can't you? They have it and it just happens. They sleep right through it, they just can't help it. Applaud him when he wakes up dry, maybe even give him a treat. But don't sweat overnight accidents. It's not even worth it.
RELAX.
It's normal for him to not be totally night dry yet.
He'll get there when his body is ready. Don't push.
It can be normal for some kids to wet the bed up to about age 9 or so!
take him out of the pull-ups - let him know what it feels like to be wet at night - he will learn
