is there a right way to put a diaper on?
Answers:
well it all depends do u use disposable diapers or do u use cloth diapers. me i use cloth diapers on both of my boys and thay have less diaper rash and everything elts. and thay are majorly cheeper... if u go that way than u need to buy cloth diapers ($12.00) diaper pins ($0.96) and plastic diaper covers ($7.00) or u can go with disposable diapers witch will run u about $6.00-$25.00 per pack/box. as for cloth diapers u just wash them and reuse them till thay are no more and thay last a long time

diapers go on the butt side of the baby.
no plastic pants unless cloth diapers.
1 diaper should be good at anytime.
Even the big brands leak sometimes. i like to use huggies because the tabs are stretchier and softer.
Look on the package. If you use disposable diapers, the tab is on the part from the back and pulls to the front. You gotta get it right with a boy 'cause some brands are made with different padding in different places for boys and girls. I always used a name brand.
Are you for real? Ill assume you are and then you know what assume stands for!Anyway It sounds like you are using clothe diapers cause you surely cant put a disposable on wrong, can you? There are several ways to fold a clothe diaper, in a triangle , you put the two ends in back and bring the point up between their legs and pin both sides, then put the plastic pants on over it. Or you can fold it in a square , with boys you put the thickest part of the diaper in front and with girls you put it in the back, And yeah go ahead and put two on at night so they wont leak through. Or you can buy pampers which you put them on with the tabs in the back. If this was for real good luck!
If you're using cloth diapers, then you put plastic pants on over the cloth diaper. I use disposable diapers because cloth diapers are kind of a pain in the butt and messy. You only use one diaper a time. I use Parent's Choice diapers from Walmart. All the expensive brands gave my son diaper rash. They might leak sometimes if you let them wear them for too long, but all brands will leak eventually. To put a diaper on, you pick up the baby's bottom, unfold the diaper, and position the diaper under your baby's bottom. Then, place the top part of the diaper over your baby and open the sides out. Undo the velcro or sticky tabs that are located on the back side of the diaper and stick them to the front of the diaper. You can use the same diapers at night that you use during the day.
With cloth diapers it's important to know that you don't need to use plastic pants anymore. You can order microfleece or wool covers online, and they are much more effective and comfortable for the baby. Pins are also unneccesary. You can order Snappi's online as well. They're great. Don't buy Gerber diapers in the store. If you are using Gerber prefolds they have polyester in the middle and won't be nearly as absorbent as a baby needs. You should use 100% cotton or hemp. Plus all cloth diapers need to be prewashed SEVERAL times before they are fully absorbent, otherwise the plant waxes in the fiber will prevent full absorption. One diaper if fine for daytime. At night you will need to fold another diaper and lay it in the center of the other diaper, or you can use a doubler. Cloth will save you an average of $1600 dollars with your first kid, $2000 successive. Go cloth, better for the baby, your pocketbook, and the environment.
