What is the best type of float for a one year old?

I'm going on a beach vacation and my son will be a year and a half, there are so many floats for them, i wanted to know what the best one's are. The one's they wear or the one's they go into?

The ones they wear...I have had both and not only do I like the ones they were more but so does my son. They are more comfortable and they are free so to speak. Also they learn how to swim with those things they are great.

Go with the ones they wear preferably a zip up onesy with a velcro strap over the ending zipper...Weigh your child to find the one that best suit him and don't forget to have him it on too.. The "suits" that have the floats in them seem to be better at keeping their head above the water.
The seats seem to be a little more unstable in that respect.

I like the suits too, or you can go with a good swim vest as well. The sit-down floats are too bulky, and one is too young for arm floaties.
