I feel guilty because I am so bored with playing with my 17 month old son. He has a lot of toys but we play with them everyday and we are inside the house alot and its really boring. We go out sometimes too for a walk or we go to the store but I am still really bored with playing with him. I feel guilty but there are other things that I would rather be doing than sitting on the floor and playing. Does anyone else feel this way and what can I do so that we can have more fun?

Answers:
You do not have to play with him every second of the day. Believe it or not he has more fun eating his toes and looking at the ceiling. Just make sure he is dry and full and he can do the rest.

At 17 months he can play a bit by himself. I used to put my son on the floor and let him play while I read a book or crocheted. It is ok to let him entertain himself for a short time.
