i have 2 1/2 year old boy please help me?

My husband and I are having problem with the dicipline i read a book and it saids that both have to be in the same team. But my husband let him do whatever he want so when my husband is not home he behave and take his naps on time and he knows if a tell him he cant do that he cant. when he does someting bad i give him consecuences like time out and i explain to him why he is in time out. but when my husband is home old the weeks i spend teching him go down the drain in one single day because he let him do whatever he wants. I tell my hsband that if we set limits and he has an schedule we have to follow it together but i dont know he dosent get it how i can make my husband understand that if i said someting and he said other we are confusing are son because then he will not know what to do. i buy a book that is perfect but he dosent read it and i did and all the things it said are perfect and had work but he does everything that he is not supposd to do said by the book please help me ?

It sounds like you're doing everything you should be doing. Have you figured out what the deal is with your husband? Is it that he doesn't want his son to see him as the bad guy? Often times, when dad is gone a lot, dad doesn't want to spend what little time he has with his child disciplining and listening to the kid cry and whine, he just wants it to be fun time.

You're just going to have to sit down with hubby and explain it to him again. Let him have some input. Make a "Rule Chart" together, and decide on consequences together so that hubby feels empowered. Show this to him.

He's just going to have to realise that kids who grow up with no discipline turn into selfish adults with no self-control.
