toddler won't eat vegetables?

My 21m daughter will not eat any veggies. She's enormously picky-she'll eat other stuff like chicken nuggets/cheese/yogurt/fruit, etc. Any ideas? Please don't suggest forcing her by making her eat veggies and nothing else. I don't think that's fair. There's got to be something other moms do to get their kids to eat veggies.

If you have a blender you can make fruit smoothies with veggies and the fruit hides the taste of the veggies. I have this recipe for a Fruit Juice (you need a juicer)

2-3 chunks of watermelon (about 6 inches long)
2 chunks of pineapple (about 6 inches long)
1 beet
a handful of fresh spinach
3-4 broccoli florettes

You just juice it and pour it over ice. I've just added ice and ingredents to a blender and made a smoothie.

I have also taken a sliced banana, cup of yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, and V8 (veggie drink, I don't know if it is "juice" or not) and blend it all together. I HATE V8, but I don't taste it at all because the fruit covers it up. You can experiment with other fruits and veggies and see what works.

My 19 month old is doing the same thing, she will only eat pea and I have to bake the frozen ones. The canned or boiling the frozen ones isn't "good enough" for her. LOL! I have noticed when I bake them, they are "crunchy" or "crisp" not mushy.

I wouldn't recommend the "dipping" method because ranch dressing and everything isn't good for them (probably neither is V8, but I use it as my liquid base).

If she likes cheese, try putting that on her brocolli. May help!

You do NOT NEED to supplement your daughter's diet with pedisure, it is VERY expensive and unnessary. I give my 19 month old a vitamin everyday. It is the Flinstone First Pediatrics for ages two and three. I started giving it to my daughter about two months ago because I feel that when I switched her from baby food 100% and we can't afford a lot of healthy foods that she did need it. It is a LOT cheaper then the pedisure and will last a LOT longer. Like $10 for a bottle of 100 (I think, at Wal-Mart).

Of course call your doctor first. Other then that, just keep offering them to her. The WIC office even said it isn't that big of a deal as long as they are eating fruits OR veggies it doesn't matter at this point (or maybe that was because I added the vitamin).
Good luck - I have a 21-year-old that is still eating like a 2-year-old and just as picky. I'd like to tell you she'll grow out of it, but who knows. Good luck.
