my daughter is driving me crazy?

my dauhter is almost 2 and she is above and beyond the norm for the terrible two's. she has been determened and strong willed since birth and that is the main reason she lived. she was diagnosed with a rare heart disorder when i was 6 months pregnant and against all odds lived. she was a very unhappy baby because she was in alot of pain but since 7 months she's been realitivley healthy. i think we probably caused her my way or the high way attitude from catering to her as an infant and some time after but we were so afraid something else would go wrong. now she doent care if i give her a time out like on super nanny she doesnt care if i say no shes out of control. shes also extremley intellegent. she potty trained herself at 18 months and she can count to 20 and say her ABC's. she's also a beast to my 4 yr old son. help please and thanks in advance

Call Supernanny? Kidding. It sounds like it could be any of a number of things. You need to rule out the physical, of course, including food or environmental allergies which can cause behavior issues. There is also a book called: "The Active Alert Child," that I would recommend. "Active Alert" is a personality type described in the book: hypersensitive, intuitive, intelligent, strong willed, determined, etc. Can't remember the author. I had one like yours who just turned 18 two days ago. Our secret nickname for her is "The Beast." My subsequent two children have been much easier. I wish I had sought advice for my oldest, long ago. I was a very young and defensive mother. Everything is, and has been a struggle with her. Catch it early or you'll pay forever.
