Does it seem the kids these days are screamers?

Just asking because my sister has two children with annoying high voices with ear piercing screams. Don't get me wrong, I love my niece and nephew. But those screams.... I just don't remember screaming as a child, and my mother says that none of her children (except the youngest most spoiled one)screamed.Your thoughts please.

People are afraid to discipline and I don't mean beating on them b4 someone starts up about that. I mean the no means no and the "don't you do that again, I don't want to have to talk to you again" Too much coddling and letting them have their way. Not taking time with them and letting television and gameboy's and pc's babysit them. Simply training and teaching them what is proper and improper behavior
