how can i entertain mt 2yr old?

My 2yr old has been living with my mum and is moving in with me soon what can i do to entertain him besides daycare

Answers:
Get lots of messy things in - like paint, glitter glue, sticky paper, crayons - anything that you can make picture with. 2 year olds love to make a mess. Just get a cheap plastic play table and cover the floor with newspaper so its easy to clear up.

They will have a whale of a time, especially if you join in with them.

Teach him silly songs with all the hand movements that go with them. Take him to the park and feed the ducks. You could make some cakes.

2 is such a wonderful age for a child when they are talking lots and understanding whats going on. Make the most of your time together and never have a dull moment.

Other Answers:
Cartoons if you put him in front of the tv and put some cartoons on he will just laugh and laugh trust me he will stay there 2 unless its over

Coloring books and crayons, play dough, finger painting Boy there is so many. i have two sons and im a stay at home mom and my house was always fun house. there is so much you can do if you put your mind to it. that was my favorite stage.... even if people called it the terrible two's. try building blocks(for boy) and help him knock them down, dolls (for a girl), and change their clothes... i could go on and on. good luck.... :)ps. my fav was always making jello jigglers with cookie cutters and then the boys ate them and they always love to eat their work... There are many great books out there with wonderful ideas. Some of my favorites:
The Toddler's Busy Book~ Trish Kuffner
Baby Days ~ Barbara Rowley
365 Days of Baby Love ~ Ellison & Ferdinandi

Since it's getting warm you can always get some little shovels for digging, sidewalk chalk, water sprinklers, take walks in the park, crayons, bubbles, books. There are so many ideas out there.

Take cues from your 2yr old. Watch to see what they are interested in and expand on that.

Good luck!
