my twins are 22 month old how do a take the binky away?

Answers:
when i took my son off the binky, we were at my grandma's. he came in from outside, and before he saw me, i hid the binky. i told him the dog came in the house and stole it and now it was gone. i made a big fuss over the mean dog stealing it, and he just accepted that and never asked for it again.

oh they are still babies, don't take it away yet!
by binky do you mean soother or blanket? I took my daughters soother away by letting her know that she had a month left with it. We put a sticker on the calendar each day and at the end of the month we let her throw it away herself and exlained that it would go to the dump and even let her watch the garbage men take the garbage away. Then we bought her a reward present that she had wanted. It worked like a charm and i think because she had enough notice and had some control of the situation, by throwing it away herself she was okay with it. We did this just before her 2nd birthday. Hope you have sucess too!
They are almost 2 years old. Just take it lady! Have you ever had to run to the store or stop what you are doing to try and find a Binky? Well, I have, and its a real pain. At first they will be a little fussy, but they will get over it. Replace the Binky with a new or favorite toy! Before you know it, they won't even miss it.....
if your talking about a blanket you dont take it away..o and thats some good grammer you have there,,,
Don't take it away quite yet. Wait a few months. If they lose them, don't buy them another package. Or when they're sleeping, take them away. But that would just be evil.

Neices and nephews. Won't I be a great mom when I get married and have kids?
Snatch it!
just throw it away!
That is the exact age that i took my little girls "paci" away. I told her that her new puppy had taken it and made it nasty. From that day forward when she would find another stray paci, she related it to the dog and did not want it. Silly, I know, but it worked wonderfully well.
I told my daughter that we needed to let the nook fairy have all of her nooks so that she could give them to the younger babies who really needed them.
you need to let the baby put it in a baggy and hang it on a tree outside and tell him/her that there are babys in the world that arn't as lucky to have binkysand tell them there is a fairy that come and takes them to the babys who need them for comfort.then the next day have a surprise in the bag for them and have a thank you note for the chilkd from the fairy.it works really.
They will take it waay when they are ready. My daughter threw hers in the garbage (on her own. I did not prompt her on it) at about 2 years old.
