How long does it take to potty train?
Answers:
I have two boys and I didn't find potty training difficult at all--only took about two weeks. The trick seems to be waiting until the child is ready. My cousin really struggled potty training her little girl, but she started when she was 2. I waited until the boys were 3, when the weather was warm, and I let them run around without any pants on IN THE HOUSE, of course, not outside. They figured it out within one day, and only had a few accidents at night in the first few weeks. Whatever you do, stay away from pull-ups. They are expensive, and only encourage children to continue using "diapers" because they are comfortable. The basic rule is, as long as peeing or pooping in the diaper is an option, kids will want to do it because it is convenient for them, they don't have to stop what they're doing to go potty. But if you make it uncomfortable for them and they are old enough to get it, they'll get it right away.

My son learned when he was 4, and my 3 year old daughter still doesn't have it down yet, so in our household, it takes about 3 years.
takes a long time but most are potty trained by three years old Well, it depends on if it's a girl or boy. Girls seem to be easier to potty train and can be potty trained around age 2, whereas boys can be between 3 & 4 before they are fully potty trained. My 3 year old son wants NOTHING to the potty right now. I have 5 months to get him on the toilet before my twins get here!!!! Good luck!
it all depends all the kid and don't give in to all that crap about (mother-in-laws) back in my day speech about how long it took to potty train their son or daughter. every kid is different and go at their pace. my kids are 3 and 4 both girls and i am still working on it my 4 year old has it down, but my 3 year old will go to the potty just not "go" yet keep this in mind i have never seen a 5 year old not potty trained just don't let people judge you, you are the one trying your best to train them good luck !!!!
Each child is different, from the age 2-4. My first son was potty trained by the age of 3 and my second son just turning 2 is already starting to go to the potty. The time it took my son to potty train was about a month. The first week or two was serious work, bringing him to the potty every 30 min. or so, and getting him to really connect going to the potty with being wet and dry. By the end of the month I would only remind him to go.However, I agree with most everyone here, that potty training takes as long as each diffrent child.
