4 year old son!!!?

I have taught preschool for over 12 years and have parent ask me the same question when it comes to having their child tell about their day! It's really common for children at that age to "live in the moment." Once they transition to the next thing, they forget what happened before because now they are taking in new information.
Because so many parents in my classroom wanted to know the same things, I post everyday what we learned about in circle so the parents could ask their child question regarding that. The parents love it and say it really helps.
When your son returns from school, try and ask him more direct questions regarding his day. "Who shared today?" "Did you play on the swing or in the sandbox?" "What was for snack?...". Hopefully the school will take a class picture. It will help him to talk more about the children in his class.
When it comes to skipping over letters and numbers, many children do this. Sometimes it’s a game for them or their minds are working faster than their speech. Don’t worry about it. Hope this helps! Good luck!
kids try to be cute and they like teasin people. my little brother would do that all the time just to annoy my mom. eventually he'll get over it. you just gotta tell him to knock it off and its not funni when he acts that way, even when it is.
