1 Yr. olds are not suppouse to listen. They respond to stimuli, but they don´t really "listen" If you train them to respond to your voice, you can make them answer with a few words (if they already speak) but that doesn´t mean that they are paying attention. 1 Yr. old infants are motivated by the need to learn about their surroundings. They are learning to walk, do some basic playing and are responsive to music, water and noises. If you have a 1 yr old that doesn´t listen to you its normal. If the kid doesn´t respond to any kind of stimulation, it could mean a case of autism, but don´t be haste to conclude that. You would need a neurologyst evaluation to asses that.

This child sounds very distracted. Try taking him to a plain room with no toys and no body else and play a while.

There isn't really anything you can do. They don't really understand the concept of listening. You can stop them and try talking to them.. but again a 1 year old is still a baby. I have 4 kids and 1 year olds don't listen. They are too little. You just have to keep them out of trouble and keep them safe.

Pick him up and tell him clearly and very simply what you want. "Don't push Sara." If he doesn't, put him on your hip, and continue doing what you are doing. After a bit, when he wants to go down, tell him again, "Don't push" If he does again, put him back on your hip. A one year old is just learning to listen. Don't expect perfection, but they can begin to learn. And have alot of patience. They will only listen to simple things. Sit down. Don't touch. Come. don't climb on the table.

before you go to bed pray for your child wheil he sleeping and ask god to help him and ask god to help you in dont tell him i love you try to read a bible story to him.if you not want to read ask a friend in church to help.god bliss

A one year old will not really be the best at listening. They are still young and learning.
I would definately get their hearing checked out before you try anything else. Try standing behind them and calling their name. If they don't turn around, try using a bell or some other interesting sound to see if he turns around. Try from different sides, it might be worse in one ear than the other. If you are concerned, approach the parents and tell them to get their child's hearing professionally tested.

Time out can start when when your child turns one but only for one minute.It's one minute to their age. 1 year=1 minute
2 years=2 minutes ect...
