Is it true, if children takes a nap in the afternoon, they grow taller compare to those children who dont?

Answers:
The AMA, three or four years ago ,completed a study on when children actually grow the most. It has concluded that the grow time of majority of the children is while they sleep. The bodies growth increases by 58% during sleep. Therefore all children grow the most when asleep. Fact not a wise tail.

Now taking nap in the afternoon, compel them to grow taller compared to those children who don't. I have not found that to be medically substantiated by any medical study.

Although if you were to extrapolate this thought that the major part of the child's growth takes place when they are asleep, then it maybe possible for those children who do not have naps, that they will be more tired and exhausted and their bodies will not have the energy to develop as those who have more rest.

No. Old wives tale.
this sounds like a really ridiculous old wives tale. i have never heard this before. i doubt it is true.
Yes, the pressure of gravity prevents growth while you are standing up. People typically shrink 1/4 a millimeter during the day. Only while you are laying down can you grow.
Hell no. If they take a nap in the afternoon, it'll take a long time to put'em to bed at night.
no its not true....
it depends on the genes ....
if the both the parents are short then there is probablity that the child will be short
if parents are tall then no problem .. the child will be tall whatsoever..
if both parents are short and u want ur child to be tall then
1. go to an doctor/expert and ask about somatotropin homone treatment.(treatment is expensive and not so reliable any ways ask ur doctor)
2 it will be beneficial to do stretch excersises regularly but may not gurantee anything
no that's ridiculous
short people never took naps
it's called genetics
