have you got any tips for making potty training easier when the time comes for my 1 year old daughter?
Answers:
Make it fun for them. I took my children to the shop and let them choose their own potty and toilet seat. Then we just left it in the room for them to use as and when. I didn't make a big deal of it, especially with my son as he was adamant he wasn't going to use it! Although, I did have a chart on my fridge for when he did start to use it. Once he used it every day for 5 days, he got a treat (nothing to big though). Also, I let them both choose their very own pants with whichever tv character was their favourite. That really helped as they wanted to keep them dry!! Good luck.

Don't bother with using a potty, my sons hated them. Buy one of those seats that fit on the toilet and buy a little step and train her directly to use the toilet. It's quicker , easier and my children responded better to this way of toilet training.
I found the best thing to do is wait until they are ready, try the potty every day for 2 or 3 days and encourage a job well done. Be prepared to go through lots of knickers and don't stress. You have to be able to commit whole days to trying. Good luck! Girls are easier than boys! We introduced the idea of the potty to her and than after a while, we just took the nappies away, I booked a week of work and just kept asking do you need a wee wee? Whenever we went out we took spare clothes, maybe we were just lucky but, we didnt have any accidents whilst we were out although we did at home! After the week, she didnt even wear them for bed!
I'd love to help but at 39 I still can't get the hang of it...also,potties are very small ain't they and I'm not the best of shots. It's a good job we've got lino.
Wait till she is ready or you will have a nightmare. If you feel she is taking to long to become ready, then try bribes such as she can have new pants in her favourite children's character. Also don't get angry if she makes a mistake and praise her for every good attempt she has made, really make a big thing of it if she succeeds the first few time as this will encourage her to do it well next time.Another great tip it to wait till summer because if there are any accidents then the chances are she be wearing less clothes for you to wash.
Again the important thing to remember is don't force her wait till she is ready as just like someone told me it is not like she will be going down the alise in a nappy it will happen when it happens.

Mother of two
We told my little sister that she would get a reward for using the tiolet and we told her that she could be big like us and she started to go to the bathroom. all i would say is is make a very big fuss of well dones, get your toddler to clap with you, i'm no expert but it made going on the potty more fun for my kids.
2 be honest...no,girls do tend 2 b easier than boys(iv 2 girls/1 boy),my 2 year old boy wont have it...,he jus wont do it...,girls were different,my middle 1 hated being wet,so she was 1st out of them,elder of my girls took a little longer.but i wudnt worry 2 much
im sure you relieze one is too young to train. when its time ....i trained my child and my two granddaughters . push the fluids , put child on potty or toilet, turn on water (sound of water makes anyone have to pee) , use a pan ...fill with warm water , put childs hand in it while she sits on potty /toilet and water is running..reward with ONE M & M, and lots of song dance happy face ...it worked for me. do not put on pull upsWait till she is absolutely ready!
Movies/books/songs/patience!
