Up to my eyeballs in POOP!?

My 14 month old son is pooping constantly...about 4-8 poops diapers a day when we were used to 1, maybe 2, a day. They are very soft in consistency (sorry), and maybe 1 out of 10 times it'll be obvious diarrhea. He gets horrible diaper rash off and on b/c of this. His pedi said that he either has a persistent intestinal virus or he has this unexplained Todders Diarrhea. She took him off of all dairy and I haven't noticed much of a difference. We're on week 3 of this poop saga. Please, help, if you've experienced this before. Thanks in advance.

Answers:
Teething causes it because they swallow so much drool. It waters down everything.

Diarrhea is important to watch though because a child that age can become dehydrated quite fast (a few hours) if they don't replace the liquids they're loosing. So if he gets a regular virus on top of this (vomiting AND diarrhea) then watch him VERY carefully.

For diaper rash two or three warm baths with an oatmeal treatment (found in drugstores), and diaper rash cream can be prescribed by your doctor (better than the store bought crap) and try to keep him as dry as possible.

A note for the future: don't get 'used to' anything with kids. They change constantly!!
Good Luck
well don't stop feeding him milk he probably just have diarrehea just take him to a doctor
