How did you get your toddler to drink soy milk?

Now that my daughter is a year old, I'm told she is allergic to milk. I've been trying everything to get her to drink Silk (the soy milk) I've even bought all 3 flavors. She refuses, I even made her a banana smoothie since she loves bananas but she still refused. I have finally gotten her to drink soy milk made from the powdered formula but would like her to drink the "real" milk. Any suggestions on how to do accomplish this?

Answers:
You are told your daughter is allergic, by who? A pediatrician? If it's a doc it may be true. But if it's someone else, then I wouldn't listen too closely. Is your child still able to eat cheese, or ice cream? Anyway, below is a link to Milk Allergy information.

As far as getting your child to drink Silk, have you tried putting chocolate or strawberry syrup in it? Most children love chocolate and strawberry milk. Any kind of milk always tastes better with the syrups.
My son has always had to have what mom and dad are having. Try drinking some yourself. (If you won't drink it, chances are you child won't either)

have you tried pouring yourself a glass of it and start drinking it...wait awhile..some toddlers prefer to have what their parents are eating or drinking. i wish you luck on it.
We use soy in our house and I can tell you that my kids do not care for any of the soy milks straight up (and silk is the better tasting brand, we use it for cereal and such). There is a soy drink called Soy Shake, made by WestSoy that one of the girls loves (in chocolate) - it just has a different texture and taste than the "dairy aisle" soys. Another beverage is Almond Breeze, made by Blue Diamond that the other girl loves. Both are fortified with Calcium and such and both are found in the grocery aisle, not the dairy section. Our store has a "whole foods" section where it is kept, the "natural" products is where to look.
