Is Juicy Juice good for kids?
Answers:
Juicy Juice is 100% real fruit juice. HOWEVER, water is the best thing.
Juice fills kids up, causing decreased appetites at mealtime, when they're presented with healthier foods.
It usually only provides one or two nutrients (usually Vitamin C), while milk and other foods provide many more.
Some studies show that kids who drink too much juice (more than 12 ounces a day) either don't gain enough weight or gain too much weight. That is, some children will have their hunger satiated by the natural sugar in juice and will eat less than they otherwise would (resulting in insufficient weight gain), while others will drink the calorie-laden juice and happily consume their regular meals (resulting in excessive weight gain).
Drinking too much can lead to loose stools.
Drinking juice in a bottle can lead to tooth decay because of its high natural sugar content.
No wonder that the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that juice be limited to 4 to 6 ounces a day for 1- to 6-years old and to 8 to 12 ounces a day for 7- to 18-year-olds.

No, way too much sugar. no, it has like a bajillion spoonfuls of sugar. and artificial flavorings.
no! it's 100% juice for 100%kids DUH if my neighbor with diabetes can have it i think its pretty safe
They advertise it as 100% juice, but if you look at the back label, it says that it only contains something like 15% fruit juice. This just makes me wonder what kind of juice they are using to fill up the rest of the quota.that's y wic gives it to kids Yes! It is 100% juice, and nothing added. Although, most kids don't need more than one glass of juice a day. Any more is too much.
I have two words for you "CRYSTAL LIGHT"...That's what I give my son to drink and he loves it. It has no sugar and it is healthier.
for my part juicy juice can be jailed. foget that highly anti-diabetic drink, just want to kill people. girl tha best thing for your kids is to squeeze fresh and pure fruits like oranges for your kids, all kinds of fruits, just buy them in the fruit store. now that's 100% juice for your 100% kids.......Juicy Juice is good. If it wasn't good then it wouldn't be on the WIC's list of recommended juices to pick out. Heck even I drink the juice.

Mother of 2 juicy juice is the only juice i was able to get the kids when they were on W.I.C., however there is 37 grams of sugar in every 8 oz of juice so no, its not really good for them. i use to give the kids half juice and half water cause the sugar was so high. My mom is a pediatric nurse and she says the sugar is not added sugar (its natural sugar). however, sugar is sugar and that much sugar is bad for you. W.I.C. doesn't look at the sugar content, they go by a few vitamins and as long as those certain vitimins meat there standers then its on the list. (and that's what my W.I.C. rep. told me)

No, it has too much natural sugar in it! It's completely 100% juice. Fruits are high in sugar though and juice should be watered down. Too much can also cause diarhea. I water my kids juice down at least 50/50, sometimes 25/75.
