I bought my son's car seat from Sears, it was only $100. (chances are you aren't a member of USAA, but if you are they give you $50 when you buy a car seat)

well for one, never buy a used car seat. i tried to look to, but i couldnt find anything. i think i looked until she was out of a toddler and in booster! Have you tried Babies R Us? Gracobaby.com, the cosco brand(dont know there website) the evenflo website. but the only ones i found were britax. you might find them at like overstock.com or something

definitely try babies r us on graco car seats- they are voted most safe by consumer reports. Then check out local baby boutiques for adorable car seat covers! I see them all the time in Hawaiian and all sorts of prints! The plus on the covers is that you can take them off to wash any spit up or diaper goo.
