solution: Tylenol pain reliever, Luke-warm bath, cuddling with mommy
I keep seeing all these "call the doctor" answers. Call the doctor they will tell you to give her Tylenol and a Luke-warm bath. They will say that if it doesn't go down after that THEN bring her in. I've been through teething twice and have called about 3 different times with my first child.

I agree with KB. Also, try to get her to drink some water for hydration. always keep a bottle of baby asperin , or pain / fever medicine home this helps .
102 is a pretty high fever for teething or nething really i would have her checked just in case better safe then sorry i hope she feels better i know thats hard my youngest is teething her molars right now
That's pretty normal. If it doesn't go away after about a day or two then take her to the doctor. Motrin or Tylenol will do the trick for right now. When my son was teething I gave him chunks of frozen banana to gnaw on. He loved it and it really seemed to soothe him. Good luck.Is she throwing up too. You have to watch that fever. I'd take her to an ER or walk in clinic to make sure. 102 is very high. I think you should give her motrin (the recommended dose) and if by tommorrow she still has the fever you should take to see her doctor. My son's pediatrician told me once that they don't blame fever on teething any more.

For my son's teething I use teething tablets. You can find them in places like Wal-mart in the vitamin & Supplements isle the are made by a coompany called Hyland's they are 100% natural and Do Not cause any side affects. They work great, I use them in combination with Tylenol & any other medication he is prescribed while he is teething. I hope your baby feels better. Take her to the doctor early in the morning.
childrens tylenol or motrin/chamomile teaAs the mother of 6 kids, (yes SIX...lol)...I thought I'd share with you my experience with pain medication for kids. My oldest is 16, and from the beginning, I was always advised to use childrens Tempra/Tylenol for pain or fever. I used either whenever I needed. Then I tried Motrin with them for pain/fever. The difference is amazing. Acetaminophen would work for no more then 4 hours. Motrin (Ibuprophen) ALWAYS works for 6-8 hours.
The reason I mention this to you is because you only have the one child, and I thought it would be helpful to share what I have experienced.
Take Care. Wen my now 5 YOA son cut his first teeth he ran a fever of 104.8 on Christmas night, got an ear infection and yes, I took him to the ER. Their suggestion was to "tag team" Tylenol and Motrin (NEVER GIVE A CHILD ASPIRIN). First give the Motrin, 4 hrs after that (if there is still a fever) give a dose of Tylenol, then 4 hours later (if there is still a fever) give the Motrin again...as so on. If there are other symptoms, diarrhea, vomiting, etc you may want to call her Dr...make sure to keep her hydrated too...there are also topical medication (Oragel) that you can put right on the gums. Popcicles are a great help too!!
