I would say, "everything is good when it is in limits". Children in there growing age need more... the only think you should care about is that instead of junk food you should always give him or her fresh and healthy food.
Let her drink it try to get her to drink more if she doesn't want to then don't bother trust me i used to throw up on my mom i am completely fit and healthy avoid junk food. I found these sites for you :)
"Toddlers don't necessarily need milk, but they do need calcium and Vitamin D, which are readily available from milk and dairy products. Without any milk, it will be difficult to get enough calcium into his diet. There are alternatives to milk, though, and other ways to give your child calcium."

Three 4oz servings of whole milk or yogurt is the suggested daily amount for a toddler. It's normal for a child transitioning from bottle to cup to cut down his intake. Most children on bottles take in TOO MUCH milk, that's one of the many reasons your supposed to do what you're doing and use a cup. As far as any other liquids go, 6oz of juice counts as a serving of fruit, but no more than 1 serving should be taken this way per day. Beyond that, starting a water drinking habit early is a great way to get him set for life.

My pediatrician, www.verybesttoddler.com, What To Expect--The Toddler Years two eight oz glasses or if thats to much to handle u can give him 4 4oz cups of milk cheese and goats milk are good also.
My son's doctor told me that he should be getting at least 16 oz. of milk a day and no more than 24 oz of whole milk. He was about 15 months at the time.
My son is 16 months old and my doctor told me for him to drink between 16 and 20 ounces a day. I give him about 4 ounces at a time and he has milk in sippy cup, in the morning, at lunch, with a snack, and at dinner or before bed. So he has 4 -4ounce servings a day, which is 16 ounces. Works good for me. Good luck.More Questions & Answers...
