at what age is it safe to leave a child alone in the bathtub for a little while?
Answers:
The answer to this is the development of the child. And how well they can clean themselves. No child under the age of 8 should be allowed to set there own water temp. and I would honestly check on any child from time to time. I finally gave my children total privacy at age 11 in the bathroom.

I don't really know if there is a correct answer to this question. I think it depends on rules you set while they are in the tub, the amount of water in the tub, and their maturity level. The answer could be different for each child.
18 years? I don't think it would be safe until they are about 6.
when the are no longer in the tub. If they are in the shower, they should be alone, but the tub, someone needs to stay close by.
Why risk it? For stirring dinner or to answer the door? Just take the kid w/ you, better safe than sorry.
ten year old this is weird, i was just reading a news article on the number of deaths of children due to drowning in the tub with only a couple inches of water. the number was disturbing! as a mom of three, i never left them unattended untill they were old enough to bathe themselves, properly, about age 8. i still kept a close eye on them because the youngest had a habbit of standing in the tub, i actually caught her (age 8!) as she was losing her footing and falling! the people in the report whose children died had only left their children (ages 5 and under) unattended for a minute. when my daughter almost broke her neck when she was standing, it really scared her, i am so thankful i was standing right outside the door! when things get quiet, somethings not right!!
Never! Accidents can always happen when you least expect it. And what the hell, why do you want to leave the child alone in there for? Bathtime is an opportunity for fun quality time with your children, which they need and want from you!
dont know I'd say 6 years oldIt think that would be safe to leave a child that is about 6 years old alone in the bath tub. I don't recommend leaving any child alone in the bathtub. Having said that, I think it all depends on why you are leaving them in the tub alone. I only leave my son in there if I am really, REALLY busting for the toilet... which is right next to the bathroom, and I always make sure I pee as fast as I can (lol).
I don't hink there is any age for a child to be in the bathtub alone. You'll never know what could happen. You don't want something terrible to occur just because you had to go answer the phone or cook dinner. Please watch you kids while they are taking a bath at all times.
How long is awhile? I think it really is never o.kay, unless 5 or older.Always check up regardless!Only once the child is capable of looking after itself & being able to right itself if it falls.
I think children of ange 7 or 8 years are old enough to be left alone in the bath. Obviously it depends on the individual child. the parent will know best.
when your child can be trusted to behave on there own. if the water level is shallow enough so they cant drown but don't stay away too long not until they are at least nine.
