What is a good cure for Nappy Rash?

Answers:
A barrier cream such as zinc and castor oil.

Corona Ointment. You can find it in any Tractor or Farm supply store. Nothing works better...nothing!
Balmex works great. And it works even better if you wipe with a dry cloth first, so that you don't seal in any moisture. Also, if you can let your baby air out... this is the best thing for a diaper rash.
The best product we have here in Canada is Penaten Cream. It's a zinc-based, white cream that is applied directly to the affected area. Not sure about equivalent products in the UK or Europe, but definitely look for zinc as an ingredient. It seems to be present in everything that works.
cream for a rash and let the bum breath fresh air for a hour or so regular
fresh air...and judging from the way you worded your question, I'm guessing you're in the UK. If so, what works brilliantly is Savlon, an antiseptic cream that unfortunately is unavailable in the states.
I was given some to put on a tatto that I got in Galway and it healed beautifully, and I used the remainder on my son's diaper rashes. If you're able to get it, and would be willing to buy a couple of tubes and ship them to the US, I'd be grateful and obviously compensate you for all expenditures. If so, please contact me through this forum.
I heard this on an ABC program when I was pregnant, I used it and it was very good. Corn Flour. Use as a powder instead of talc. My child was lactose intolerant and had very nasty nappy rash until I used this idea. For nappy rash make into a paste with water and apply to effected area. Its advantages are it is natural, no heavy metals, and its cheap. I used the no brand corn flour and found it just as good. PS it helps the bigger breasted woman to stop heat rash, just apply as a talc under the breast line.
Fresh air. If thats kinda impossible with a very young baby, then i use bepanthen.
Vaseline. It's cheaper than anything else, and it works better than anything else. Plus, a little goes a long way, so you don't have to use as much.

This really worked for me - Put a quilt out in the backyard and put your naked little one on it for a little bit. The fresh air is great to get rid of diaper rash and let their skin breathe. Just watch out for temperature, bugs and for the sun.

my doctor recommended 'BUTT PASTE' sounds funny but it really works, and let them run around naked so air gets to it.
Fresh air is a dead cert, but backed up with Sudocrem cream makes it a winner. Relief comes very quickly.
