What is a good kids birthday party theme?

Age = 4
Boy
Likes superheros and is very active.
Didn't want to have a party at home, what are some good spots, you've tried?

Answers:
chuckie-cheese is fun and so is "pump it up".
pump it up is a place with different rooms that have the big blow up play stuff in them. my neice is 4 and went to b-day party at a pump it up and she had a BLAST!

how about a pool party at the YmCA or local pool? or at home you could do a paint party. take t-shirts and plastic sheeting and paints.
line the sheeting on the grass or tables and then put down t-shirts for the kids to paint. you can get washable paints for this or just let parents know to bring the kids in clothes that won't matter if paint gets on them.
you can build on the theme of painting with the party favors...go to the oriental trading company website...i'm sure they have "paint" themed favors!

have fun with it!

spongebob square pants

Ask him what he wants to do. He is 4y and can express what he likes to do on his birthday. Maybe you can take him to an amusement park.

Maybe you could have a Spiderman theme, and have the party at Chuck Cheese.

well im only 14 and i have baby cousins and the one i liked best was at a pizza place they rented out and decorated it with batman and he had on a little cape and the other kids got maks...they all had fun and it was cute watching them play around

the playground is the best because everone goes home sleepy from playing all day and the kids love it best of all no messy house

mommy of 1 fantasic 4,superman,batman,the hulk, ask him whats his favorite hero and maybe you can work somthing out!

mcdonalds always works, and chuck e. cheese, and a good spot would also be a town park where you could do whatever. I like the pirate theme myself. You could set up a tresure hunt or something, and they could make eyepatches. Be creative.

try a park ,its free and they have a playground, plus lots of space for kids to run around and also do have activies like water ballons,if its hot

Definitely ask him but Funtime America is good. Check with the child which superhero he likes. They follow the lead he gives you. Because the boy is very active, i would suggest a party at the park, which is not oly open air, but you can organize somany water games and outdoor games.

Like a lot of people have already said: Park!! A good site to go to and get some ideas is www.birthdaypartyideas.com

That is where I go for all my party ideas (and I have 5 young kids.)

RESCUE HEROES!!!!!! We did Rescue Heroes for my son's 4th birthday. Check out http://www.fisher-price.com/us/rescueheroes/default_flash.asp?z=parents for idea's. Fire halls will give tours and possibly even provide an area for food and cake. Good luck

Batman Superman Spiderman The Hulk X-men

Go to birthdayexpress.com. They have anything and everything for kids b-day parties.!!!!

We had my little boy's birthday party at McDonald's last year. It turned out to be a very fun party. The price is VERY reasonable, and everything is included (including the cake). The kids all had fun playing outside in the play-place, and it turned out to be a very organized and fun day!!! Please don't take him to McDonald's. The play areas are small and filthy, and you could do something so much healthier and nicer.
Most park systems in medium sized to larger cities have programs for birthday parties that are pretty moderately priced, if not free. They generally have shelters and nice playgrounds, and our city has extras too, like being able to hire a park guide to take the kids on a hike (with parents of course). Parks are great because they are at least a bit cleaner than Mickey D's, and there is plenty of parking and space. You have to supply all the food and supplies, but depending on the size of your group, that may or may not be bad. And, you can make sure they kids are eating healthy.
As for themes, you could do a pirate theme - that was a good idea, and with the new pirate movie coming out, there will be alot of stuff out there in that theme.

Actual talk to your son to brainstorm. Ask him besides superheroes what other characters do you like, would you like to have your party at the park, the beach (I did this for my son), Chuck E. Cheese, etc. Also what kind of cake would you like? If you want to cut costs, bake it yourself. You want to get your son's input as much as possible. This will turn out easy for you. Have fun with it. Pirates, its great you can make treasure maps and let the kids follow them to the treasure.

blah wah wah blah. your kid is ugly.
