My bf's niece cries wildly everytime his mother leaves him for work.?

It annoys me so much. What do I tell his mother so that this kid (2 years old) learns some manner? I just hate it when he cries as if someone is killing him He cries so loud and so wild that neighbors check on us to see if we are abusing him.. Gawd..

A little loud that the neighbors are coming. But normal. My nephew will do this.

What I do is after she leaves. I will let him cry a few minutes while I am putting in a tape. Either Dora the explorer or Blue's Clues. I pick him up cuddle a little on the couch so he can get interested in his movie and he is fine.

I would advise this method. I know you most likely don't want to watch kiddie shows but it works great.

The kid is just attached to his mom.....when she drops him off tell her to come in and then tell her to sneak out without him knowing shes gone.....then keep him distracted.
