active dreamers?

my daughter is 4, and is a very active dreamer....she does not just mumble in her sleep. she says WHOLE sentances. Then she is having bizaare (sp) dreams...she woke me up the other morning to ask me if her aunts head was still on her body and why do people cut off heads...now, she does not watch violent TV...so where in the hell did that come from?

Now I talk in my sleep and I also have been known to cry in my sleep...could she get it from me? Is there something wrong with us?

Answers:
Wow, that's interesting.. I'm an active dreamer... It doesn't have anything to do w/ tv... She is probably very spiritual... you can take her to a psychologist to analyze those dreams... I dream all kinds of things all the time.. It can also be that she has a 6th sense, and sees things in her dreams...

ummmm take your daughter to the dr.s

No of course there is nothing wrong with you gals. I suggest eating earlier before you go to bed and a little bit of exercise 3 hrs before going to bed:maybe dinner and a walk b 4 bed. you have very creative busy minds like us all (most of us,some of us)-enjoy! im not a doctor but my i think its normal for a child to have an avtive imagination, however its your place to let her know it was just a dream. you have to explain fact from fiction but in 4 year old terms. and as for you, i my self have vivid dreams, but always remember the way you react to a real life situation is the same way youd react subconsciencly. i hope you understand what im trying to say....if not maybe you should consultyour doctor and or your childs pediatrition. good luck and i hope all goes well.

it's called night terrors... they take many different forms.. some children remember the dreams and others don't and the name does not imply terror so to speak.. if refers to the level of brain wave activity
