Big Girl Bedtime??

She will be 2 on 27th. We have removed big brothers small toys from the room. We plan to put a baby gate back on the door. They have to share a room because we live with hubby's parents house and have 2 bedrooms to work with. Ours and kids. I was hoping to be moved out by now but it's going to take at least 6 more months. She currently has no problem with her crib but wants to climb out of it and is trying to tear it apart for fun. It's just about time to have a bonfire with this crib. Are we doing the right thing by giving her a toddler bed??? My son was in one by time he was 16 mos cause he "ate" his crib. chunks of wood missing. and bite marks all over it.

I think it is time for a toddler bed. If your living on a budget (sounds like you are) it will be a lot cheaper than a twin bed. You can use all the same bedding and matress from the crib. I see toddler beds very cheap at yard sales or thrift stores, or just go to Walmart if you prefer new. Just do it soon before she hurts herself. My son started climbing out of his crib at 13 months and I thought he was too young for a bed until he cut his head on the heater when he fell trying to climb out. I put him in a toddler bed that same day.
