Any good food Ideas???
Answers:
The kids I took care of like celery and peanut butter as well as apples. Yogurt was popular. For lunch they loved sandwiches cut from the cookie cutter of their choice.

ONE OF THE GREATEST FOODS I HAVE FOUND WHICH IS VERY HEALTHY AND FILLING IS WHITLOF SOMETIMES CALLED CHICORY, WHICH IS KIND OF LIKE A BITTER TASTING LETTUCE VERY CRUNCHY AND VERY ADDICTIVE AND TOTALLY HEALTHY.
WHITLOF WITH FRENCH DRESSING IS MAGNIFICENT. FRENCH DRESSING WITH FRESH GARLIC SQUEEZED, SALT AND PEPPER, EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL, VINEGAR ( WHITE WINE ), MUSTARD A TOUCH OF WHITE VINEGAR
ok, the best thing that kids could eat is cheese ravioli. Minus the sauce. They come frozen- and you can get mini ravioli for small hands. Boil them- let them cool, and serve them. You can serve them with veggies that kids like but know they like. Such as raw snow peas-or baby corn. Make it fun, and they get their nutrition at the same time. I do spaghetti o's with sticks of cheese and carrot sticks
Tortillas warmed filled with turckey and cheese and lettuce
Grilled cheese with grape tomatoes and carrots
peanut butter and jelly with bananas on the side
a can of fruit opened and chilled, drain when serving with yogurt
sliced apples to dip in peanut butter(they love to dip)
Mine are all grown but I used cookie cutters to cut there cheese and bread...The shapes made it more interesting and they learned shapes too. Funny how a circle piece of cheese does'nt taste as good as the bunny shape.... Have funny!! Cooked carrot sticks for the little ones (less choking hazard) are a great snack or part of a meal. If you have a vegetable steamer, stick in broccoli, cauliflower, any kind of veggie.
I also would use fresh baby spinach on their sandwiches instead of lettuce. It's a lot healthier and tastes wonderful.
All kinds of fresh or canned fruit, and peanut butter on crackers are wonderful healthy choices for snacks. I made all different kinds of things of the kids' lunch. Beanie weenies (cut the hot dogs in half before you slice them so the little ones don't choke), grilled cheese, just about anything. Left over spahgetti made into sandwiches were my kids favorite.
The possibilies are endless.
My 18 month old son LOVES fruits (he will choose fruit over chips), crackers, cheese (shaped ones are a cute idea!), waffle (prefers Pillsbury's frozen waffles - they smell sweeter but don't taste sweeter) or toast. My son also loves peanut butter sandwiches and grilled cheese sandwiches. Good Luck!

Personal Experience. French bread pizza. Slice of French bread, spread on a little pizza sauce, top with cheese, put in a toaster oven until cheese is melted. Add a veggie on the side.
