How can get my 3 year old son to stop wetting the bed?
Answers:
Unfortunately, you can't. When his body is ready to stay dry all night, he'll do it. For most children, this is before age 9, but there are some perfectly healthy kids who continue to wet long after others are dry.
What does often help is homeopathic treatment. If you choose to try this, I would suggest you choose a *classical* homeopath, as this is the type of treatment that has the best and longest history of successful use.
Taking him to the bathroom at night (either when you get to bec a couple of hours after he goes to bed, or in the middle of the night) *may* help...or it may actually *encourage* him to pee in his sleep (that's what you're teaching him!!).

For my nephew, we put him on these cotton underwear and they're plastic on the outside. The thing is, they aren't comfortable at all when they're soaking wet.
put a diaper back on him he isnt ready yet

My parents used to set the alarm for 3:00 am so my brother would get up and use the bathroom. After about a month he was fine and was getting up on his own.
make sure that he goes before he goes to sleep, no drinks after 7, and get him up before you go to bed, just to see if he will go. it worked on both my kids.
You will see several know-it-all answers to this one, but just try to remember, you can help the little guy out buy cutting back on his liquid intake for at least an hour before bedtime. Also, he may not be getting enough naptime during the day, which means he will crash that much harder at night. Let the little guy get in a few more minutes of nap time. Finally, try to be understanding. He is probably already embarrased, so be sure not to beat him up over it too much. He really can't help it.
P.S. You can get some of those pullup diapers and tell him he will have to wear them until he starts making it to the bathroom. It will give him some incentive to deal with it on his own.
man, your son is one pathetic loser!
no offense.....im 15, i was there once, dont sweat it.

dumb and dumber quote
Here are a couple of things that may help.....1) Have him practice stopping and starting peeing while he goes during the daytime. This will help him gain more control over those muscles. 2) During the day when he says he needs to go potty, have him wait 1 minute, and then let him go. keep increasing the time he waits gradually until you're up to 10 or 15 minutes. This will help stretch his bladder a little so he can hold a little more. Then definitely limit his fluid intake after 7:00 p.m.
Try not to let him drink much an hour or so before bedtime. Make sure he uses the bathroom before bed... He could possibly have a medical condition so talk to your doctor about it. He's still pretty young and every child goes through wetting the bed. Just give him some time and he'll get the hang of it.
If he is always wetting the bed and he has kept the bed dry multiple times before then take him to the doctor, he could have an infection. If he has never not wet the bed then put him in a pull up at night. If he is going through a phase then have himhelp you clean up the sheets every morning to give him some responsibility in his actions. It is a natural consequence of wetting the bed... the sheets need washed.
