At what age did your child stopped using diapers?

My son is 15 months and is almost potty trained. HOw long will he still be using diapers?

Answers:
My oldest was 3 and a half. The next was 18 months. My youngest is potty trained but gets very upset when he makes a mistake so he chooses to stay in diapers... he's 2 and a half.

A good rule of thumb is if they can tell you they've got to go, you can put them in real undies. You may want to keep some pull-ups on hand for nighttimes and car trips. Otherwise, wait til they can go through the entire night with a dry diaper.

At fifteen months, you're well ahead of the game. Just a little longer and the diaper days are over.

Other Answers:
My son was about 2 and a half. I was pregnant was my second child at the time (who is now 11 months) and his babysitter potty trained him because some of the other parents wanted their children potty trained and she knew the baby would be here soon.

He's started wetting the bed at night again some nights lately though and he's been in underwear for about a year now.

well, that will all depend on your son...when he is completely potty trained, then you can stop. Plus you will probably want to change him to pull-ups and things like that. Most children are potty trained around 2, but definitely by 3. If not, talk to his doctor. Potty training is tough, you have to be tough too...be consistent. Good luck I STILL WEAR THEM AND IM 27

I have two daughters, 29 months and 14 months. We've just begun toilet learning with my older child. It's been a breeze too, I think because we just waited.

I think around 20 months is when they gain control of the bowel and urinary functions, so I think it would be reasonable to expect accidents until that age, if not longer. How wonderful for you though, to have your little one on the right track, and so young!

my son was just over two. It took a week and in that time he wet the bed once and has never worn night nappies now he is 4 my son did not come out of diapers until he was 2, we tried and tried, but no use. My daughter was totally trained by the time she was 14 months, and she did that on her own. It was amazing.

my daughter was about 19 months when she was fully potty trained

Why is he still wearing diapers? Is it just at night? My first was potty trained completely at 2 yrs, three months, we threw the diapers out about two months after. I had them for accidents like diarrhea, but never needed them. And, when we left the house I still used the diapers for a few months. But at home and at night, we didn't use them. He only went up to size four, but my youngest is 16 months and he's been in a size 5 for six months! His bottom is too big for size 4! They're all different.

my son is 2 years 5 months and he is potty training right now, doing very well I only use the Pull ups at night and when we leave. I still clean up a good deal of pee here and there, so who knows. He has been in a 5 diaper for almost a year now, he is a big boy. My daughter on the other hand is trying to potty train right now too,(her choice) she is doing better than he is and she is 16 months old, she is wee one, a preemie baby, and she can wear a 2 diaper, I think she will be done before him.
