My daughter is 2yrs 9m, she will pee on her potty, but not poop, any suggestions?

we have been desperatly trying to get her out of her pull ups, but she will not poop on the potty, she will either hold it until she has a pull up on, or not go at all. I dont know what to do with her.

Answers:
Talk to her constantly about how she can go poopy in the potty. Explain to her that going potty in her pants is yucky and not something big girls do.

GO ahead and put her in underware. She wont feel as protected in them, so when she does poop in them it will be quite an unpleasant experience for her.

Also, its gross, but not changing her until she realizes she stinks or is yucky is a pretty good technique.

Remember she has to see people on the potty to know its okay to go potty in the toilet. Its gross, but she's your kid, I have yet to see this technique fail. :)

There are also tons of books on the subject by all sorts of excellent authors.
