My daughter had this when she was 2..it is a contagious viral illness where they drool are cranky and have a high fever And then within the next 2 or 3 days may get blisters in and around the mouth and/or on the palms of hands and the soles of the feet..just a possibility since they get the fever and other symptoms forst and it akes aehile for blisters to break out...

could be a sinus infection it would make her jaw hurt and she might drool from it
could be her throat. everything is connected and a sore throat or a toothache can cause her jaw to hurt. call your dr. also she could be getting her molers. it's better to take her to a pediatrician/urgent care/emergency room in order to find out especially if she indicates pain. There may be some underlying medical concerns that warrant true medical advice.

My son had that happen when he was the same age and I called the pediatrician's office. They told me to bring him in immediately, and it turned out that he had developed a throat infection that caused his throat to swell internally so that he couldn't swallow (so he drooled). They immediately admitted him in a pediatric hospital for intravenous antibiotics for two days. He was fine after that. I don't know that your daughter has something that critical, but a high fever could signal an infection so you should call her pediatrician.She might be getting molars in. Generally children grow another set of molars around that age- are you sure she's gotten them?? it could be a number of things - I am assuming since you said that she has all her teeth, that her two year molars have come in (my daughter is two and doesn't have hers yet so it is possible). It could be a piece of food stuck in her gum line or something like that. It could be a sinus infection or something of that sort. Cold can being in "funny" ways. I am sure you know this, but check with your doctor. They will be better able to rule out things and figure out what it is. But as a guess, I would say something in her gums or possibly a cavity/toothache or a sinus infection/cold Good luck!
Sore throat. My kids did this too. Would run high fever, drool and not eat or drink well. Turned out to be strep throat. Take her to the doctor.
have u taken her to the doc? she could have viral infection or ENT problem. As she is having high fever so please dnt risk anyting and kindly go to the doc at once if incase u havent already gone. It could be anything. why take a chance.gud wishes thay may have rotavirus its going around but form the sounds of it i would take them to the doctor cause i have heard simmalar things and thay have caused bad problems.
have thay ever said or anyhting about there chin being numb? if so id take them to the er right away cause that indecates bad problems

mother of 2 Okay, not to be an alarmist, but please take her to the ER/urgent care.
Just rule out the really bad stuff, like meningitis.
It's probably like everyone's saying - a sore throat, strep (also can be really dangerous), sinus/ear infection, but it could also be something serious.
At least call your pediatrician's emergency service and page the nurse or doc on call to ask their opinion and whether you should take her in.
