1 year hoary sleep programme shifting?
Is 1 year the normal time to transition to 1 nap or is that impulsive?
If this continues do I try to move her first nap till later or fashion bedtime earlier?
Answers: my dd was give or take a few that age when she dropped to one nap. She's an early riser, anywhere between 5:30-6:30 and is usually down for a siesta now at around 1:00 for about 2 hours (she'll be 3 surrounded by Aug and still needs that nap, MOST days) and after she's in bed by 8-8:30. She has pretty much have this schedule for the last year and a partially.
my daughter did the same thing at roughly speaking 1 I just tried to make lunch a bit sooner and get her down for a nap by 12 or 12:30 after she was up by 2:30 and in bed at 7:30. in a minute she is 2 and is fighting nap time adjectives togeather Try putting her down for her first nap a little closer. My 9 month old goes at just about 930am and about 230pm. She normally get up at about 630am. So maybe get up her a little earlier within the morning.
My daughter is almost two and only recently switched to 1 forty winks and sometimes still takes 2 I don't know what the normal age is for dropping to one rest a day, but three of my four children have done it around 8 months, and the ending was at 11 months. But, I do know that that's on the early side. One year sounds give or take a few right, but every baby is different. My first three all took their one snooze at about 2 in the afternoon, but my fourth usually take hers in the late morning.
Regardless, it sounds similar to your DD is ready to drop her 2nd nap. If it seem like she still needs a bit more sleep than that first snooze, you have a few other things to try. 1) You could put her to bed a bit earlier within the evening. 2) You could put her down for a late afternoon nap at 4:30 or so, and rouse her up after 30 minutes to an hour. Now for some babies the latter would work, but for some they'd just be cranky and groggy.
For comparison, my just-turned-1-year-old gets up around 7 am, nap from about 11-12:30, and then go to bed around 8:30. So, that's about 12 hours of sleep a day.
