What is he best way to get my 4.5 year old boy to stop wetting his bed at night?
Answers:
a friend of mine (when his daughter was young)many years ago told me they cured his daughter by leasing a product I think it was called "Beat the Bell". It consisted of a pad that was placed under the sheet. when uren came into contact with it a buzzer would sound and the child would have a short amount of time to awake and press a button which would prevent a bell from ringing. when the buzzer sounded the child would be startled enough to cause her to shut off the flow of uren and go to the tolit. My friend said that something in the uren would cause the buzzer to ring.Water or other fluids such as milk etc. did not have any affect.By having the child play this game it took less than a week to have the child trained to go to the toilit. This was more than 30 years ago.I am sorry I do not know where he leased this product maybe someone reading this knows where to find it. I hope this helps!

I would not let him drink anything a few hours before bed and make sure and have him try to go potty right before bed.
dont let him drink any thing, the hour before his bed time ,and if that doesnt help than maybe he has a weak bladder, i get that some times,(its not bad)
my little brother is 5 and wets his bed every night,(for as long as i can remember)
I wet the bed till I was 12 my parents took me to the doctor and he gave me sugar pills, it was just a mind thing. The pills did nothing medically but I stopped wetting the bed. The most important thing is to encourage your son and not make him feel self-conscious about the bed-wetting, as this could prolong it and/or create psychological issues. 90% of children have stopped bed-wetting by the time they are your child's age, so it may be indicative of an underlying problem. You may want to ask your doctor about it. The source below has a lot of information about it.
