My two-year-old still drools. Is this normal?

Answers:
yes it is normal as long as everthing else is ok.I think boys do it more than girls.

Other Answers:
if the child is cutting his 2 year old molars, than that could be the problem. children drool when they cut teeth. i have a 2 years old that still does drool a little bit. however, if the drooling is still very persistant, than i would consult a doctor. drooling past teeth cutting is indicative of ear aches/fluid in the ears. if let go, then the child may have speech problems in the future. my son had fluid in his ears and ear aches quite often and we had no idea about it. he was never very whiney or never tugged at his ears to let us know he had a problem. if you've ever seen and ear thermometer, they've come out with another device that works the same way but it measure fluid in the child's ears. i think they go for around $70. if your child has had a persistant problem with ear irriatations, then one of these devices might be a good investment. hopefully though, the drooling is just a residual effect from teething however, i thought making you aware of the latter was important. good luck.

You should talk to the peditrician to rule out any medical issues..but usually the drooling is due to teething.

My 2 yo still drools too. He's been teething since he was 4 months old. Now he is doing his 2 yo mollars.
