The same things we should eat, just in smaller portions. (That is assuming we always eat healthy, well-balanced meals, based on the food pyramid).
chili cheese fries from any fast food joint that sells em.

whole hotdogs, grapes, hard candies.
no seriously, cherios are good. and skinned chopped up hotdogs (not in slices, they ahve to be triangular)
3 year old?! Whatever you can get him to eat! ;-) Mac and cheese is good, or rice with ranch dressing, or scrambled eggs with ketsup.
nestum and banana
something balanced, with lots of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from fatty fried foods and sugary sweets. This will teach them to like healthier foods later on, and help prevent obesity.
Meat, Fruit, Veges, Milk, Cheese, Pasta, Rice and the list goes on.
Finger foods are the best. Things they can hold unto and still walk around. They have a short attention span so sitting down to a full meal is hard. And other foods are hard for them to feed themselves without making a mess, and they like feeling like they can do it themselves.
mine eats lots of healthy stuff.
oatmeal with berries and yogurt
carrots or apples with peanut butter (natural only, the name brands all have hydrogonated oils)
dried fruit
breaded spinach nuggets
almonds
string cheese
whole wheat bagels
soy milk
According to them? French fries.
Actually whatever is healthy for you is healthy for them at this point. You may want to hold off on nuts until age 5 but other than that just follow the food pyramid.
Good luck!

Fruits and veggies. I let my 4 year old dip strawberries in cool whip, and apples in peanut butter. she also likes to eat pretzels dipped in yogurt. Just make sure it healthy for them to eat, and dipping things for them is fun. My daughter also love those little sandwiches you make from crackers and luch meat. We use wheat thins, turkey, and colby cheese. Also try the pb&j combo. Finger foods are what kids love best, and they love that they can constuct them theirselves!
